Third Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) episode in release order, after "Sonic And Sally" and followed by "Sonic And The Secret Scrolls".
While in Robotropolis, the Freedom Fighters ended up crossing paths with Sonic's roboticized uncle. Luckily, they managed to use a Power Ring to get his mind back in his original state.
This episode provides examples of:
- Downer Ending: The Freedom Fighters escape, but fail to restore Uncle Chuck.
- Heroic BSoD: Sonic and the team convert Uncle Chuck back to their side, but by the episode's end, his robotic programming reverts him back into a mindless drone, and the team are forced to abandon him. The normally overconfident and optimistic Sonic completely breaks down into tears as a result.
- Let's Split Up, Gang!: Sonic and Sally go one way to look for parts for a new project, and Rotor, Bunnie and Antoine go another, and later on when Rotor, Antoine and Sally go one way to get to a set of controls, while Sonic, Uncle Chuck and Bunnie go another to get to another set.
- Manly Tears: Sonic cries heavily when he can't stop Uncle Chuck's programming from overwriting his personality.
- Stock Sound Effects: The SWATBots have to tie down a large, dinosaur-like tank that's gone crazy. They accomplish this with tether-launchers which make the same sound as Batman's grapple-gun.
