One morning in 2009, Duncan recounts how he discovered a comedian who, like him, tells it how it is. A comedian named George Carlin.
This episode contains examples of:
- Funny Background Event: Duncan is talking about how Thomas doesn't deserve to be the star of the TV series based on The Railway Series. Thomas is passing at the time, and glares at Duncan.
- Insistent Terminology: Duncan states to Ivo Hugh that George Carlin did not "pass away", he "died", knowing the comedian is famous for never sugarcoating the truth.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Skarloey has a problem with George Carlin's swearing.Skarloey: I can only stand him for so long, you know. You may not hear him from it now, but that man has the dirtiest mouth on the tele! So much so that he was arrested for it.
- Take That!: Duncan complains about how the television series is named after Thomas. Right as Thomas is passing the Skarloey Railway, causing him to cast a suspicious glare at Duncan.
- Whole Episode Flashback: Duncan tells the story of how he learned about George Carlin in 1998 and then in 2009 where he learned of his death that happened a year prior.
