In this episode, Samosa orders a bicycle called the Tufaan 5000 ("Storm 5000" in English). He goes to ride it around town, but soon becomes so attached to it that he ignores the requests for help from various townspeople trying to do something, justifying his refusal each time by mentioning it's written on the back of the Storm 5000's box in bold letters to "do it yourself".
Samosa winds up hurting himself while trying to ride the bike. The bike itself gets fixed when Samosa wakes up at the hospital, and he quickly tries to ride it again... only for it to fall apart while he's riding, landing him in the hospital a second time. Samosa's friends, fed up that he's being so selfish, improve the Storm 5000 by adding extra seats to it, with the trade-off that with all four of them riding the bike, Samosa finds it much harder to ride.
"Tufaan" contains the following tropes:
- Advanced Tech 2000: The Tufaan/Storm 5000. The upgraded version at the end of the episode is renamed the Storm 25000.
- Bandage Mummy: Both times he is seen in the hospital after accidents with the Storm 5000, Samosa's body is wrapped up in bandages.
- Brick Joke: Early in the episode, there's a joke where Vada brings an extra bolt to Samosa's attention when he assembles the Storm 5000. The bolt not being used causes the entire bike to fall apart. This comes back to bite Samosa hard when he tries to ride the bike again after recovering in the hospital - he forgets the bolt again, causing the bike to fall apart while he's riding it and thus landing him in the hospital a second time.
- Chekhov's Gun: Vada discovers an extra bolt from the Storm 5000, causing it to fall apart. This comes back later on to advance the plot - Samosa hurts himself when he finds out he forgot the bolt again, this time causing the bike to fall apart while he's riding it and forcing him back into the hospital.
- Comically Missing the Point: When the delivery truck arrives at Samosa's house with the Storm 5000, Dhokla asks "Samosa, did you buy a truck?"
- Entertainment Above Their Age: The Animator's Survival Kit, which Jalebi (a kid) is seen reading, wasn't made with children in mind.
- Episode Tagline: Samosa repeats the phrase "do it yourself" throughout the episode to justify himself not helping the townspeople, saying it's written on the back of his bike's box in bold letters. At the end of the episode, it's parroted by his friends when he asks if they want to pedal the multi-person bike with him.
- Fantasy Helmet Enforcement: Samosa wears a helmet when he rides the Storm 5000.
- Not Your Problem: Inverted. Samosa is so obsessed with riding his new bike that he keeps ignoring the townspeople asking for his help and tells them to "do it yourself".
- One-Word Title: "Tufaan" is only one word, referring to Samosa's bike, the Tufaan 5000. It's Hindi for "storm", which is used in place of "tufaan" for all references to the bike in the English dub.
- Shout-Out: While Samosa and his friends are riding the new and improved Storm 5000, Jalebi can be seen reading The Animator's Survival Kit.
