Kramer: I'm distraught? - George had spent this and the previous episode insisting that he and Jerry would get at least $50,000 from NBC for their sitcom idea, and is then furious when they only offer $13,000. Which is precisely why he dismisses Newman asking if they're getting at least $50,000 by claiming that money isn't important. Particularly funny given that George is possibly the cheapest character on the show and the biggest money-grubber.
