When a police stakeout of an Los Angeles hotel where the leaders of several major gangs are meeting to discuss business goes badly awry, S.W.A.T. has its work cut out trying to stop the gangs from escaping or civilians getting caught in the crossfire.
Tropes
- Brawn Hilda: The leader of the cartel group at the hotel is a fairly big and brutish woman.
- Intrepid Reporter: Luca's younger brother Kenny, much to his older brother's chagrin. That said, his tendency for this leave Kenny in the right place to administer life-saving first aid when a cop is shot by one of the gang leaders trying to escape.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The whole reason the stakeout goes awry is because a Sheriff's deputy trying to rescue his daughter (who happens to be the girlfriend of one of the gang leaders at the meeting) gets into a scuffle with the bodyguard assigned to watch her. The deputy gets shot in the scuffle, Hicks sends S.W.A.T. to find out what's going on, and when the gang leaders learn that L.A.P.D. are in the building, they flee.Commander Hicks: We didn't have any problems until this guy shows up and tries to play hero two states over from where he's stationed. Forgive me if I'm not feeling any sympathy for him.
