Mouse and Tabby struggle with their secrets as the carnival approaches. Noa notices Shawn is acting differently, Imogen thinks about her baby's future, and Faran confronts her problems.
- Adopt the Dog: Madame Giry makes it clear that she really does care about her dancers, including Faran, when she recommends Faran see a doctor she sends some of her older dancers to see when Henry fills Giry in on Faran's chronic back pain.
- Calling the Old Woman Out:
- Faran does this again when her mom says she should have said something about her pain, telling Corey that she brought it up dozens of times but she didn't want to hear her and she won't let her poor decisions affect the rest of her life by getting better the right way.
- Mouse to her mom after using a burner phone to get her to tell the truth about her attempted kidnapping. After learning it, she calls Elodie out for turning her father into the boogie man when he just wanted to be her dad.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with the Liars receiving a text from A with a picture of Tyler's corpse.
- Disappeared Dad: Mouse wasn't conceived by sperm donor but by a man with Elodie who was originally supposed to be a couple's surrogate until she backed out... and it was her father who tried to "abduct" her at the carnival when she was five.
- Egg Sitting: Imogen has Chip as her partner in taking care an infant simulator for health ed. A takes and leaves it in a closet while Imogen has to pee, leaving a note telling her "YOU'RE A BAD MOTHER." which convinces her to go to an adoption agency for her real baby.
- Flashback: The episode has a flashback in 1999 with Elodie sneaking away with Angela to the hall of mirrors at the carnival and kissing her, only for Davie to walk in and Elodie accusing Angela of attacking her.
- Hall of Mirrors: Mouse is in one at the carnival with Ash when A appears, with Mouse trying to get out of there to escape A and eventually leaving through an emergency exit.
- Imagine Spot: Tabby has this of her stabbing Wes's hand with her pen with blood gushing out when he talks about these films that depict graphic rape scenes are highly moral as products of their respective times.
- "Shut Up" Kiss: Imogen gives one to Chip while he's talking about how any guy would be lucky to have her, telling him that she likes him too.
- Sure, Let's Go with That: When Chip accompanies Imogen to the adoption clinic, the agent Imogen is speaking with assumes Chip is the father of her baby. Chip goes along with it, stating that he agrees with Imogen's decision. He tells Imogen that he did so because he felt she needed the support, which she appreciates.
