Recap / Power Rangers In Space S1E2 From Out Of Nowhere Part 2

Go To

Despite the Turbo Rangers helping the Red Ranger out, he refuses to let them help him find Zordon. However, one person might be able to convince him to allow the needed help.

This episode includes examples of:

  • Aren't You Forgetting Someone?: The former Turbo Rangers prepare to return to Earth, but fail to realise that they've left Alpha 6 on the Astro Megaship.
  • Human Aliens: Lampshaded by the former Turbo Rangers after Andros demorphs. Andros handwaves it with "Earth isn't the only place humans live".
  • Idiot Ball: It doesn’t seemingly occur to the earth’s Rangers that Alpha may have been left behind on the Megaship, instead fruitlessly searching the planet until the quantrons attack them.
  • I Work Alone: Andros tries to pull this. He dumps his new teammates on the nearest planet and leaves. It takes Alpha stowing away that convinces him to turn back.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: His personal reasons aside, Andros has a point in not involving the Turbo Rangers in the battle. They just went off after Divatox without gathering any supplies or rations, let alone a change of clothes, on what was basically a suicide mission. It’s understandable why Andros would find them undesirable.
  • Love at First Sight: Ashley is clearly taken with Andros when she sees him unmorphed for the first time. Cassie pokes fun at her after the fact.
  • Spoiler Opening: Averted. Andros is again omitted from the opening in order to hide his identity.
  • Transformation Is a Free Action: Subverted. Astronema attacks while the Rangers are forming the Astro Megazord for the first time. Double Subverted as the Megazord is shielded while still transforming, rendering the attacks useless.
  • You Are Too Late: Eltar is too far out of reach for the NASADA shuttle to reach, so T.J. offers to go to Cimmerian Planet instead, only for Andros to shoot it down, since his intrusion caused the villains to vacate the planet and Zordon with them.
