On their way to Anistar City, Serena's attention is drawn to a lone Eevee with some sweet moves. Naturally, she will need to battle Jessie to get her on her Performance team.
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Call-Back: Clemont reuses one of his finding inventions.
- Go Through Me: Serena and her Pokemon attempt a You Shall Not Pass! against Jessie to protect Eevee. Even when Jessie threatens them with Gourgeist's Seed Bomb, they refuse to budge and await the inevitable, though Eevee steps in and uses Protect.
- I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: Serena first sees Eevee dancing in a very cute way and catches her by the end of the episode.
- Not Me This Time: Chespin is falsely accused of eating the treat meant for Eevee.
- Shrinking Violet: Eevee is very nervous around others. It takes all episode for her to trust Serena, Braixen and Pancham; and even after that, she's still initially scared of Ash's and Clemont's Pokémon. She warms up to Bunnelby first.
