- Late-Arrival Spoiler: At the time of his "Worst 5" arc, in an effort to keep each reveal a surprise, the video title only addressed the figure as "2nd Worst" and the icon did not feature cropped stock photo like the regular episodes do. With the release of this episode, the identity of the "3rd Worst" was revealed in the title.
- Shout-Out: TJ compares Hotshot's fully armed vehicle mode with some of his fan moding as something out of Twisted Metal, complete with a skit of him and Ice Cream Truck Skids and Mudflap doing that.
- Unfortunate Character Design: Invoked. TJ points out how Hot Shot is designed, he looks like he's pregnant.
- Worst. Whatever. Ever!: TJ labels Hot Shot as the worst of the Built To Rule line.
- You Don't Look Like You: Points out Hot Shot's vehicle looks nothing like a sports car at all (being huge, bulky resembling a hummer more than a sports car), let alone his actual in show self, despite that being a key aspect of his character. It's a major factor of why he's the worst of the Built to Rule figures in TJ's opinion.
