Grampu Day!
Grampu Day! contains examples of:
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Oobi, Uma, and Kako state their appreciation for Grampu to each other by saying "Lovely!" while pretending to have his looks.
- Also, Oobi borrows Kako's "Perfecto" in the game segment as one of the clues to what character he sculpted a statue out of.
- Cordon Bleugh Chef: Kako makes his Grampu Day food for Grampu out of chicken and jelly, which Grampu loves, as well as hot sauce, which is what Kako loves himself. Grampu finds the taste of it disgusting.
- Crowd Chant: At the very beginning of the episode, Oobi, Uma, and Kako chant Grampu's name when he arrives with the cookies he baked for them.
- Gasp!: Grampu upon tasting Kako's disgusting Grampu Day food the first time.
- Gift of Song: When Uma can't find anything good of a gift to give Grampu, she comes up with this at last minute.
- Inconvenient Itch: Grampu gets this while modelling for a statue being sculpted by Oobi, who instructed him to not move. He allows Grampu to scratch the itch anyway.
- Retcon: Uma is a baby in the shorts, which take place before the full-length series, and she doesn't wear any accessories in them. However, this episode shows a baby photo of her wearing a bib and her barrette (which was introduced after the shorts), retconning her previous appearance as an infant.
- Toilet Humor: Implied in the picture of Grampu with Oobi and Uma as babies, where Oobi is shown apparently recoiling in disgust over Uma having soiled her diaper.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Kako states that he loves hot sauce.
