Olimar awakens after the crash-landing of the S.S. Drake. On his own in the World of Smash, he begins making his way over to Port Town Aero Drive. He signs up in an F-Zero race in order to win the prize vehicle, which would allow for much easier transportation. After signing up to race with Dai Goroh, the two end up locked in vehicular combat against Captain Falcon and Louie. Olimar and Dai Goroh lose, prompting the latter to run off in tears. Louie steals the prize vehicle, prompting Falcon to join Olimar on his journey.
- Breather Episode: The only chapter with no combat at all, with the entire section focused on the low-stakes F-Zero Grand Prix.
- Bounty Hunter: Captain Falcon's stated reason for joining up with Olimar: Louie stole Falcon's priceless prize vehicle, which put a considerable bounty on the Hocotatian's head while also making things personal.
- Face–Heel Turn: Downplayed. This is one of the earlier instances of Louie being revealed as a jerkass.
- It's All About Me: Dai Goroh displays this to an extent.Dai Goroh: NO!! Nobody drives the Silver Rat but me!
- Running Away to Cry: Dai Goroh after losing the race. He blames Olimar's driving.
- Wacky Racing: The competition that lies at the center of this chapter fits this to a T.
- What a Piece of Junk: The Silver Rat looks like a hunk of junk, but it was only because of one bad choice that it lost to the Blue Falcon.
