- As You Know: The ninja helpfully recap a broad summary of the events of "Day of the Departed" as they work in the museum.
- Big Damn Reunion: After being separated from each other for 40 years, the Hands of Time reunite and hug each other for the first time in decades.
- Foreshadowing There's a few hints about who Dr. Saunders really is;
- When Lloyd asks about the painting of the Hands of Time, specifically Krux, he calls him(self) a "handsome fellow".
- The tea he gives the Ninja is made from pickled beetroot, much to everyone's (except Jay's) disgust. Judging by his smile when he told them, he probably gave them something that would obviously disgust them on purpose.
- He insists the Hands of Time are a myth. He obviously wants to remain under the Ninja's radar. Especially when Acronix is returning on the same day.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: He waited until midnight for Acronix before removing his disguise.
- Good Is Not Soft: Master Wu holds Acronix over the mountain's edge by nothing more than his cape, making it clear he will let him fall if Acronix doesn't yield. If the time distortion hadn't happened, it would've worked.
- Hug and Comment: After Acronix enters the museum to meet up with "Dr. Saunders", only for the latter to reveal to be his brother Krux, they hug for the first time in decades, leading to this exchange:Acronix: Things have changed since I was last in Ninjago.
Dr. Saunders/Krux: (now speaking without Saunder's accent) Indeed they have, brother. - I Did What I Had to Do: Wu says as much to Acronix as they fight.
- I Drank WHAT?!: The ninja are all disgusted by "Saunder"'s pickled beetroot tea, except Jay.
- Lazy Bum: Jay initially refuses to investigate the weird time skip because the ninja have already spent the day schlepping boxes in the museum, and therefore he figures they've done their good deed. It isn't until they remember that Wu was at the monastery, where the time skip originated, that he gives in and willingly wants to go.
- Wham Episode: Dr. Saunders is revealed to actually be Krux.
- Wham Line:Acronix: Things have changed since I was last in Ninjago.
Dr. Saunders/Krux: Indeed they have, brother. - Wham Shot: Acronix enters the museum with "Dr. Saunders" waiting for him, only for the latter to remove his disguise and reveals to be Krux, his brother.
