As the ninja try to foil the crook Miss Demeanor, Nya suffers a mysterious failure to control her powers.
Tropes:
- Baddie Flattery: Unlike pretty much everyone else they've faced, Miss Demeanor is overjoyed to be fighting the ninja, even having planned a special terrible pun for the occasion.
- Berserk Button: It's Miss Demeanor, not Mrs. She corrects one of her goons when he uses the later via fire.
- The Bus Came Back: Kai calls in his and Nya's parents, their first reappearance since the end of season 7.
- Karma Houdini: Miss Demeanor manages to get away, albeit with less of the vengestone she was smuggling, and therefore less money.
- Obviously Not Fine: Nya insists she's fine as she's pummelling the crud out of a training dummy.
- Power Incontinence: Nya tries creating a tidal wave to stop Miss Demeanor, only for it to go out of control and flood a nearby village. Though she insists it was a one-time thing, once she's back in the monastery her powers cause the cave sprinkler systems to activate, making it clear it is very much not.
- Sequel Hook: Miss Demeanor's mysterious buyer, who wants vengestone for some unclear but obviously nefarious purpose, and who may well be the same person King Vangelis was shipping his vengestone to. It won't be until mid-way through the next season that it turns out they are.
