"Winston's Birthday" is the 24th episode of New Girl's second season.
It's Winston's birthday, and he hopes that the gang put something together for him. However, they are all preoccupied: Nick is left with keeping Jess's dad company, Jess is shoved into a new job opportunity, Cece is freaking out in the lead-up to her wedding, and Schmidt struggles with dating Elizabeth.

- Accidental Misnaming: Bob thinks Winston's name is Wilson.
- Forgotten Birthday: No one is actually throwing Winston anything for his birthday, although he keeps expecting a surprise. When he finds the rest of them at a touching moment on the roof, though, he takes it as a birthday celebration and the others go with it.
- Girls with Moustaches: Cece has just gotten her hands tattooed for her wedding before she falls asleep on them. She wakes up with markings on her face. Jess tries to rub it off, but worsens the situation by making it look like Cece has a full beard instead. This is completely played for laughs.Shivrang: She told me to look for the girl who looked like Mandy Patinkin.
- Weight Woe: Variation. Elizabeth isn't self-conscious about her weight, but she dislikes how her boyfriend Schmidt seems to be, judging how he awkwardly denies their relationship when a conventionally slim woman at his office derides her.
- You Remind Me of X: Nick reminds Bob of himself, which is why he's so disapproving of Nick's relationship with Jess. His relationship with Jess's bubbly and outgoing mother went south fast.
