When Zipp's sunglasses go missing, she accuses her friends of taking them and interrogates all of them to catch the thief.
Tropes:
- Continuity Nod: Izzy creates a special visor for Zipp because when Zipp decided to be a detective back in Make Your Mark, Izzy believes a good detective should have super, fancy gadgets.
- Foreshadowing: Izzy taking random measurements of Zipp's head hints that she was planning something for her. Near the end of the episode, she reveals she created a special visor for Zipp to use while she's doing her detective work.
- Hold Your Hippogriffs: After Zipp corners Izzy, she tells her that she has "nowhere left to trot".
- Lame Pun Reaction: After Hitch tells Zipp, while pulling out his own sunglasses, he doesn't need sunglasses to see a problem with her theory about him taking her sunglasses, Sunny and Pipp react to his pun by groaning at it with Sunny facehoofing, while Izzy actually likes it.
- See-Thru Specs: The visor that Izzy made for Zipp includes a see-through pseudo-x-ray mode that lets Zipp see the skeletons inside ponies and look through closed drawers, in addition to a heat vision option.
- Shout-Out: The episode begins with the main characters watching a pony version of Frankenstein.
- String Theory: Zipp's investigation into who took her sunglasses takes the form of a large board cover in pictures of culprits and evidence connected by red string.
- Worm in an Apple: When Zipp is trying out her See-Thru Specs, one of the things she looks at is an apple that turns out to have a little segmented worm inside and happily chewing away.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: After Zipp discovers that her sunglasses were under her pillow the whole time, everyone leaves unamused (minus Izzy) and Sunny said "You've got to be kidding me".
