Pipp tells the story of how she and her friends rescued Sparky from Opaline's clutches only for her friends to keep interrupting the story.

- As You Know: The Mane Five and Misty recount the events of "Missing the Mark" despite all of them being present for and thus already knowing about the still recent events.
- Didn't Think This Through:
- Hitch points out recounting the events in front of Sparky, who's still recovering from and traumatized by them, wasn't the best idea.
- Sunny realizes that leaving the re-empowered and vengeful Opaline be after defeating her is likely to cause them problems.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: This episode spoils a few major events for the end of Make Your Mark if you haven't seen "Missing the Mark", the last episode of Chapter 4 yet. This includes the Mane 5 now knowing about Opaline, Opaline draining Sparky's magic to regain her power, and Misty's Heel–Face Turn and gaining a cutie mark.
- Sequel Episode: The episode is set shortly after "Missing the Mark" and is about the cast recounting it's events.
- Unreliable Narrator: The flashbacks have discrepancies with what was shown in Make Your Mark due to the ponies telling them which gets pointed out.
