Lemillion: I'll be your hero!
Togata finally catches up to Chisaki and prepares to rescue Eri, but two of the villain's top allies stand in his way.

Tropes:

  • Badass Boast:
    • Togata finally grabs Eri and, despite her pleas to leave her alone for his sake, he responses with this line:
      Togata: I'll be your hero!
    • When he is hit with the Quirk-erasing bullet, he continues to fight Overhaul while delivering this line:
      Togata: I AM STILL LEMILLION!!!
  • Batman Gambit: Now seeing how much Lemillion is willing to go to save Eri, Chisaki passes his completed bullets to Shin Nemoto and orders him to fire. Careful to not waste a single one, he remembers Lemillion's honesty in making up for his previous failure to save the girl. He takes the chance of shooting at Eri, expecting the hero will drop everything to take the bullet. And it works.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Though Togata loses his Permeation Quirk, he still takes on Overhaul with his speed and strength alone.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Chisaki casually mentions how painful his Quirk is in repairing people's injuries, and even claims that it wouldn't be the first time Eri would deal with this if she is injured. This only infuriates Togata further.
  • Cannot Tell a Lie: Shin Nemoto's Confession Quirk allows him to prevent anyone from telling a lie. He interrogates Togata as to why he's going out of his way to save Eri, as if trying to overcome his guilt of failure. Unfortunately for him, Togata turns this into a resolve and takes him and Deidoro Sakaki down.
  • Death by Flashback: Subverted. Togata's life of becoming a Hero flashes as he takes the Quirk-erasing bullet aimed at Eri, but doesn't die. He simply loses his Quirk.
  • Defiant to the End: The Stinger shows Togata still standing, but badly hurt, as he continues to protect Eri. Luckily, Midoriya's group finally arrive to back him up.
  • Taking the Bullet: Nemoto uses this as a Batman Gambit by aiming his gun at Eri, hoping for Lemillion to protect her.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: Togata is horrified in learning how far Chisaki will go to get Eri back, even if it means injuring her just to painfully reconstruct her with his Quirk.
  • The Worf Effect: In a heroic sense, Overhaul suffers this to show how experienced Mirio Togata is as a potential Pro Hero, with the villain unable to even touch him. This is even without Mirio's Quirk.
