Genki and Mocchi have a fight over Mocchi mistakenly eating an apple, which makes the entire group angry. But the fight turns serious when Durahan sends Renocraft after them! Can Genki and Mocchi rekindle their friendship in time to survive the slayer in the sand?

Completely Different Title: The DVD menu and some websites call this episode "The Sand Assassin, Renocraft," but the title card calls it "Renocraft, Slayer in the Sand." - Glass Cannon: Renocraft may be powerful and can launch sneak attacks, but the moment he's out of the sand, all it takes is the combined attacks of Hare, Tiger, Suezo, and Golem to take him down.
- Growling Gut: The Searchers' spend most of the episode hungry and lacking food. Golem, who can eat inedible rock, keeps getting guilted into resisting cause everyone else is hungry. Genki and Mocchi's spat resulted from this as Mocchi accidentally swallowed the apple the Searchers were going to split.
- Living Motion Detector: Renocraft can sense any movement on the sand and attack, requiring the Searchers to stay off it.
- Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: Genki and Mocchi's spat makes the fight against Renocraft far harder than it had to be.
- Tunnel King: Renocraft is able to dig through sand like water.
- Wormsign: Rencocraft spends most of his screentime this way. Not only does it enable him to launch sneak attacks, but the sand protects him from the Searchers' counterattacks. It takes luring him out of the sand and into the air in order to defeat him.
