Upon their return to the real world, the heroes, upon being confronted by Azure Lion, are revealed his true colors and his true intentions, as MK starts to reach a boiling point as a result of everything thus far...

- Despair Event Horizon: With no idea of what he really is, Monkey King possibly gone forever, and Azure Lion on his way to overthrow the Jade Emperor and take over the world, MK abandons his friends and retreats into solitude, believing he’ll only cause them more pain.
- Et Tu, Brute?: MK is heartbroken to learn that Azure Lion was deceiving him and his friends the whole time in order to free his sworn brothers and finish his longtime goal to take over the Celestial Realm.
- It's All My Fault: MK, throughly broken by the events of the season, hits rock bottom with his self-hating Guilt Complex, irrationally blaming himself for every bad thing that has happened over the show and deciding to isolate himself indefinitely, despite his friends trying to help him.
- Sins of Our Fathers: Averted by Azure Lion when it comes to MK and his friends — despite holding a personal grudge against Monkey King and his pilgrim companions for imprisoning him and his brothers in the Scroll of Memory, he doesn’t wish to take it out on their new iterations.
- Tranquil Fury: When Azure Lion reveals he’s keeping Monkey King trapped so he can’t interfere with the brotherhood’s plans, MK demands for him to let Monkey King go with a quiet fury — before becoming a monkey again out of sheer rage.
