MK, Mei, and Sandy find themselves stranded in the desert. However, a familiar figure arrives to save them.
Tropes:
- The Bus Came Back: The entire Demon Bull Family makes a return after Princess Iron Fan's last appearance in "Sweet'n Sour" and Demon Bull King and Red Son's last in the Revenge of the Spider Queen special.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: How does MK repay Red Son for rescuing him and his friends? By stealing his father's Samadi Ring from right under his nose. Literally.
- Mei and Sandy also hijack Red Son's car for escape.
- No Man Should Have This Power: Princess Iron Fan reveals that Red Son was the original wielder of the Samadhi Fire when he was born. He was shown to be too much of a Tyke Bomb to handle it, and so the power was extracted into three rings (four according to Monkey King).
- Spit Take: Red Son, and later both of his parents, have this reaction to learning that Team MK is looking for the Samadhi Fire.
- Villainous Rescue: Red Son rescues MK, Mei, and Sandy when they are collapsed from exhaustion in the desert under Circling Vultures behind his parents' backs. He quickly comes to regret it.
- Wham Line: When the trio of protagonists admit they don't know the Samadhi Fire's origin, Princess Iron Fan drops this one:"The Samadhi Fire was created...by our own son."
- What the Hell, Hero?: Demon Bull King calls out Sun Wukong on his tendency to withhold information when he hears how little MK, Mei, and Sandy actually know about the Samadhi Fire.
