Recap / Middlemost Post S 1 E 10 Premium Parker Toast Of The Town

Go To

Premium Parker: Parker makes some bougie new friends while the Middlemost Post is on vacation.

"Premium Parker" provides examples of:

  • Acquired Situational Narcissism: Parker when they become a member of the Ultimate Premium Fun Package after befriending a couple after saving Blair from a drowning incident and ended up ditching Angus and Russell for a VIP party after planning a hot dog dinner. However, things don't go well when the couple ditched them.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Parker, when they saved Blair's life.
  • Medium Blending: DJ General Beats' mask is in live-action.
  • Mysterious Middle Initial: "Parker J. Cloud. The J is not silent."
  • Not on the List: Despite being invited to the VIP, Parker's name isn't on the list.
  • Photo Montage: The episode ends with the Middlemost Post finally spending a day with each other as they take pictures for the memories.
  • Rhyme Theme Naming: The couple's names are Blair and Clair.
  • Slow "NO!": Angus lets one out when he sees Parker drinking a bottle of essence water.
  • Vacation Episode: As part of the anniversary Angus and Parker met each other.

Toast of the Town: Angus and Parker compete in a toast-making contest hosted by Ms. Pam and The Middlemost Toast.

"Toast of the Town" provides examples of:

  • Big "NO!": Mayor Peeve after getting disqualified after finding out his ring was on his and Ryan's toast.
  • Camera Abuse: Rob and Rod's argument ended up breaking the camera.
  • Competition Freak: Mayor Peeve only entered the toast competition just to beat Angus, yet he relies on Ryan to make the toast while he lays down.
  • Disqualification-Induced Victory: Mayor Peeve and Ryan would've won Toast of the Town if they hadn't inserted Peeve's ring on the toast, which is a serious health code violation, which costed them the competition.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: The reason rock brothers Rob and Rod couldn't make it to the finals? They made their food with rock.
  • Episode Title Card: Inverted as the title of the episode isn't shown at all in the opening credits leaving the writer credits the first thing to show up in the title card, but in the first scene of the episode, the title of the episode (which is also the name of the competition show), actually appears.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: "Just Toast", Russell and Jelly's toast, is basically your standard toasted bread.
  • Foodfight!: This is what happened during the final minute of the toastoff.
  • Leitmotif: The title card track plays throughout the episode.
  • Medium Blending: The title card is a real life toasted bread with butter.
  • Rule of Three: Another Angus tattoo gag shows the simple steps to making a delicious toast: toast the toast, add toppings, and don't add too many toppings.
