  • Acquired Situational Narcissism: Frank gets this when the Hyperions start treating him like a king due to his appearance. As a result, he has Jeebs taken away despite the fact that formed a partnership with the latter, and refers to J and K as puny humans.
  • All for Nothing: Jeebs helps the Hyperion scout get back to Egypt where the gateway to his homeworld is located. He’s doing this in hopes of obtaining the Sceptre of Solkarion, a powerful alien weapon. In the end, the sceptre is either destroyed or lost forever when the gateway is destroyed.
  • Comically Missing the Point: The Hyperion makes it clear that he will not give Jeebs the Sceptre of Solkarion by smacking him in the head so hard that it splatters on impact. Yet when Jeebs’ head grows back, he wonders if it was something he said. When Jeebs continues to pester the Hyperion about being rewarded later, he gets splattered off-screen.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Frank and Jeebs do this.
    • Frank decides to become the king of Hyperia because he looks like a dog, a creature worshipped by the Hyperions. He forgets that he’s only wearing a dog suit that can be removed or damaged. It comes back to bite him when Jeebs removes it.
    • Jeebs decides to remove Frank’s suit in order to prove to the Hyperions that he’s not a real dog. In his desire for the Sceptre of Solkarion, it never seems to cross his mind that Frank’s position is the only thing keeping the Hyperions from resorting to violence. Furthermore, the Hyperion scout that he helped already expressed his distain for him, and wouldn’t be interested in returning the favor.
  • Entitled Bastard: Jeebs hopes to get the Sceptre of Solkarion as a reward for helping the Hyperion scout return home. He’s still adamant about getting it even after it’s being offered to Frank instead of him. When he removes Frank’s suit to prove he’s not the animal they worship, he says that he is the one that should be their king.
  • Perpetual Frowner: The Hyperion scout is always scowling, most likely because he’s marooned on Earth. The only time he smiles is when he realized J and K are now prisoners on his planet.
  • "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: The detective investigating the incident at the museum believe that the mummy is just a burglar dressing up to scare the guard. Considering it to be a believable cover-up, K plays along.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: An alien runs to Jeebs’s shop and begs him to get him off Earth the moment he sees the Hyperion scout. Justified, as he witnessed the destruction they caused on his home planet, so he’s fully aware of what they’re capable of.
  • Too Desperate to Be Picky: The Hyperion scout accepts Jeebs’ offer to take him to Egypt because he’s the only one with the means and willingness to take him there.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The alien that begs Jeebs to get him off Earth does this when he hides in the latter’s shop and mentions that he saw a Hyperion. This convinces Jeebs to offer to help the Hyperion to return home, hoping that he’ll be rewarded with the Sceptre of Solkarion in exchange. The Hyperion returning home is a risk because he might return to Earth with more of his kind.
