As Dr. Hikari works on a method of time travel called the past tunnel, to allow Mega Man and Proto Man to travel to Baryl and Colonel's native time period and get more information from them, but accidentally bring Shade Man into the present.
- An Arm and a Leg: Shade Man literally disarms Flash Man and Beast Man, using their hands to replace his own after Regal tore them off.
- Bad Present: The episode ends with Shade Man and Bubble Man using the past tunnel to time travel twenty years prior which results in Darkloids ruling at least 90% of the world, leaving certain parts of Netopia and the Arctic untouched.
- Continuity Nod: To Calling on Colonel. Chaud tells Lan, Sci Lab and the Net Police that the funeral they witnessed in that episode was for Baryl. This prompts Lan to retort he didn't meet Baryl until after the funeral, particularly the Nebula Grey incident during the movie.
- Handicapped Badass: Shade Man time travels to present day after Regal ripped off his arms and minutes if not seconds before deletion. This doesn't do anything to slow him down when Lan and Chaud battle him through cross fusion. It takes Yuriko coming to their rescue trapping him with a magma seed and a double program advance from Lan and Chaud to make him retreat.
- Marked By The Supernatural: Yuriko reveals she received a crest from Duo.
- Vampire Bites Suck: Shade Man bites Mega Man on the neck, much like an organic vampire, leaving Mega Man barely conscious.
