Mega Man follows Shade Man to the past to undo the Darkloid dominated time line that was created.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Shade Man is able to command Mega Man from biting him during the previous episode and briefly turns against Colonel. A vaccine chip from Lan in the present is able to hold off the darkness long enough to foil Shade Man's plan.
- Face Death with Dignity: When a vaccinated Mega Man shoots Shade Man with his mega buster, and is deleted, but not before its revealed Shade Man tore off his navi emblem contains his Darkloid factor and placed it inside a rocket that will create a darkloid army out of the navis of that time. With his last breath, Shade Man is giddy with his supposed victory.
- Foreshadowing: As Mega Man returns to the present, a creature resembling Regal is seen removing the darkness from Mega Man and takes the form of Mega Man while he was under Shade Man's control and smiles sinisterly.
- Small Role, Big Impact: This two-parter is the last we see of Shade Man, but it would create problems for the heroes later on in the form of Dark Mega Man.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Bubble Man (or rather one of his copies) is a general among Shade Man's Darkloid army, possibly as a reward for his loyalty.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Bubble Man is last seen reporting to Shade Man about Mega Man's arrival. His fate is never revealed...not for the rest of Stream anyway.
