B.J. takes on the role of surrogate father for a Korean family whose father is ill and whose eldest son is in the army.
Attention, all personnel! Captain Hunnicut will be delivering the following tropes to the Korean village:
- Blackmail: When Zale won't hand over supplies to B.J. to bring to the family, B.J. blackmails him by threatening to reveal that Zale shipped a Quonset hut home to use as a motel.
- Determinator: B.J. doesn't let a little thing like lack of sleep stop him from doing everything he can for the Korean family.
- No-Sell: The visiting general takes one look at Klinger in a dress and declares that "I didn't let my SON out for dressing like that, why should I let you?
- Rule of Three: The visiting general receives three injuries that prolong his stay at the 4077.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: B.J. finds out what happened to the Korean family's eldest son and rushes over to give them the good news, only to find the village abandoned to escape the earlier shelling.
