Bears Are Bad News: Akko and Andrew come across the guardian of the fountain, Arcas, a giant polar bear that immediately becomes this towards the two as he pursues them in an intense chase. That said, Arcas isn't bad as revealed later on, just highly protective.
Fire-Forged Friends: While Akko and Andrew don't neccessarily become friends by the end, their misadventure would mark the beginning of their eventual friendship, which would be solidified in Episode 10.
Funny Background Event: While every single one of the young witches at Luna Nova is fawning over how handsome Andrew is when he enters the room, instead of her usual dignified demeanor, Diana looks bored◊ out of her mind.
Meaningful Name: Since the arch leading to the Fountain of Polaris has the Big Dipper (a.k.a. Ursa Major) constellation on it, it’s naturally being protected by a large bear.
Took a Level in Idealism: While his father is unaffected by the events at Luna Nova, Andrew has gained a bit of appreciation for magic and no longer thinks it’s outdated or wasteful anymore.
Unusual Ears: While attempting to perfect her metamorphosis magic, Akko ends up giving herself bunny ears and Andrew donkey ears and a tail.
Wham Episode: The episode reveals that Chariot was an Inept Mage just like Akko too back when she was a student. Akko also comes to realize that she needs to start putting in the hard work to become like her idol, kickstarting her Character Development.
