Eve is attempting to rebuild her life, having been shot and left for dead in Rome by Villanelle. Villanelle, believing Eve dead, is also moving on. That is, until she is approached by an old foe offering her a brand-new opportunity.

- Do Not Call Me "Paul": Villanelle chokes Dasha when the former won't stop calling her by her birth name Oksana.
- The Reveal: Eve survived being gunned by Villanelle at the end of season 2, and has a scar from the incident. Her husband, Niko, is being treated for PTSD at a mental health facility following his own encounter with Villanelle. Both incidents have been covered up by MI-6.
- Selective Obliviousness: One of Eve's new co-workers at the restaurant is always excusing why his girlfriend is blowing him off. Eventually Eve snaps and tells him.Eve: She's lying, ok? She was lying when she had work the next day; she was lying when she saw her mom; she was lying when she had the flu. [pointing to other co-worker] He knows it. I know it. You know it. You're not even crying because of her, you're crying because... because you feel stupid. Because you were stupid.
- Time Skip: Quite a while from the end of season 2.
- Wham Shot: Villanelle being the other half of the wedded couple during a wedding toast in the opening.
