On a windy day, Carlin sits on a bench next to the house and puts a mattress next to it, on which Olga falls after a while. She tells him that she was looking for validol, opened the window to catch her breath, but forgot that her front door was already open, and she was blown away by a draft. Olga decides to prescribe medications by mail and asks Carlin if he needs to order anything. Carlin refuses. He does not like to get sick and prefers preventive measures. Barry approaches Carlin and asks him to help him fix the seedlings in the garden. Carlin agrees, but before he goes, he pulls out a huge backpack from the house. On the way to the garden, a strong wind takes two friends far from home into the thicket of the forest.

Carlin and Barry start looking for a way to the house. Barry doesn't like carrying a heavy board, and he wants to throw it, but Carlin says that it is needed to prevent wet feet, especially since they need to cross a river on their way. Barry crosses the river using a board, but he does it very clumsily, and the board is carried away by the current. Carlin pulls out the rubber boots he has saved for this case and crosses the river, which turns out to be deeper than he expected, but he also has a water mask for this case. In the evening, getting ready for bed, Barry examines the things in Carlin's backpack and says that it's impossible to predict everything. Carlin agrees with him, but some things can still be foreseen. For example, Barry should not sit on a cold stone. Barry finds a scarf in his backpack and asks if Carlin was going to get sick. Carlin replies that he took the scarf for him. Barry laughs at him, but his laughter immediately turns into a cough.

The next day, Carlin and Barry continued to the house through the field. Barry thinks that if Carlin is so prudent, then they could stay with him until the wind subsides. Carlin replies that you can't hide from life because you can never leave the house. Barry remarks that it's probably healthier this way, but Carlin disagrees with him because walking in the fresh air is very good prevention. Barry notices an iron umbrella on the backpack and asks what it is for. Carlin hesitates but still admits that he took it to protect himself from meteorites, although even for him this is an excessive measure. Barry opens the umbrella and laughs at his friend when suddenly Olga, who was again carried away by the wind, falls on the umbrella.

Tropes:

  • Brick Joke: At the beginning of the episode, Olga assumes that the wind carried her three hundred meters away from home. At the end of the episode, she notices that there are five hundred meters left to their houses.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Carlin's backpack contains a lot of things that he and Barry will need during the episode. Even the iron umbrella, which Carlin himself considered too excessive a precaution, turned out to be useful.
  • Hammered into the Ground: After Olga landed on an iron umbrella, Barry found himself at the bottom of a huge crater.
  • Ludicrous Precision: Olga assumes that she flew three hundred meters. Carlin corrects her and says that she flew three hundred and fifty meters.
  • Tempting Fate:
    • Barry laughs when Carlin says that he took the scarf for him because he might get sick and immediately starts coughing.
    • Barry laughs at Carlin and guarantees that nothing will fall on them. After a few seconds, Olga falls on the umbrella.
