Krash and Chiko are sailing by boat to the resort island, reading an advertising booklet on the way that promises a comfortable stay. When they reach the island, they immediately lie down on the sand to sunbathe. Some time later, Krash feels that he is burned and decides to swim, but after swimming for a few seconds, he runs screaming to the shore, all covered with jellyfish. Since it is now impossible to swim, Krash and Chiko decide to find a source of fresh water and are sent deep into the island. On the way, Chiko notices that, unlike what is written in the booklet, the trees here do not give any shade at all. Finally reaching the fresh water stream, the friends discover that it has almost completely dried up.

Later, Krash rests in a hut and asks Chiko if it is written in the booklet that the inhabitants of a desert island eat. Chiko reads in a booklet about the heavenly taste of tropical fruits. After looking around, Krash and Chiko see a lot of delicious fruits on the trees and pounce on the food. Biting off another piece, Krash suddenly realizes that instead of fruit, they ate pages from a booklet with their image. The eaten paper makes them feel bad, and they quickly run away into the bushes. In the evening, Krash and Chiko are warming themselves by the fire, occasionally running into the bushes. Krash returns to his hut, but there he is attacked by a crab, and he and Chiko escape in the water. Suddenly they remember about the jellyfish and hide in the trees, but it turns out that there are a lot of bats.

On a rainy day, Krash and Chiko drink tea at Carlin's house and tell their friends about their adventures on the island. After listening to them, Carlin says that he will also go on a tourist trip someday. Krash recommends that he do this because tourism is really a paradise.

Tropes

  • Clingy Aquatic Life: Krash climbs into the water, and gets out covered in jellyfish.
  • Embarrassingly Painful Sunburn: Krash burns in the sun, which makes his back turn pink.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Chiko reads in the booklet that jellyfish rarely appear in these places and do not swim close to the shore. At this time, a wave washes a jellyfish to the shore.
  • Read the Fine Print: Krash wonders why about the temperature drops were written in small letters at the end, and about the fragrant taste in large letters at the beginning.
  • Tan Lines: White circles from the glasses remain on Chiko's face, and Krash after lying in the hut becomes striped.
  • Tropical Island Adventure
  • Very False Advertising: The advertising booklet promises fragrant shade of tropical trees, azure sea and delicious fruits. In reality, trees do not give shade at all, you can't swim in the sea because of jellyfish, and there are no fruits at all.
