When the gang are attacked by a new and even more deadly dinosaur, Yasmina has find the courage to race across the island alone for an antidote before it is too late, meanwhile Darius and Ben look to build a distraction for the creature that is pursuing her.
- Character Focus: The episode gives the spotlight to Yaz.
- Chekhov's Gun: In the season’s first episode, it was established that the gondolas to Lookout Point are on a different power grid than the rest of the island, so they still work. In this episode, Ben uses them to haul a big explosive distraction up to Lookout Point.
- Delayed Explosion: Ben sets up a canister of gasoline to blow up a gondola, but it only results in a small pop and a minor flame… until the gondola hits Lookout Point itself, where it detonates with a tremendous fiery bang.
- Get It Over With: When the Scorpios rex corners Yaz, she screams at it to hurry up and kill her already when it seems to be savoring the moment.
- Happy Flashback: Quite a few scenes have Yaz flashing back to happier times spent with Sammy.
- Parting-Words Regret: While they were packing, Yaz sadly told Sammy that their friendship would probably not last after they left the island, something that clearly hurt Sammy deeply. When it looks like Sammy might die, Yaz clearly regrets her words.
- Toxic Dinosaur: The Scorpios rex venom was severe enough to put Sammy into a coma in minutes, and would have killed her if Yaz hadn’t found the antidote.
- Twisted Ankle: When leaping over a river, Yaz lands awkwardly and hurts her ankle again. This leaves her a sitting duck for the Scorpios rex.
- Vine Swing: Yaz pulls herself out of a river and swings herself to safety on a vine during her run for the antidote.
- We Need a Distraction: Yaz sprints off towards the lab where E750 was sealed, but the Scorpios rex is in the area. Ben and Darius head off to Lookout Point to make a loud, explosive distraction.
