The containment unit for storing the demon chi cracks allowing the chi to escape. Jackie and Jade recover all but the Earth chi which gets absorbed by Jade's friend and fellow superhero nerd Larry.
This episode provides examples of:
- Ascended Fanboy: Larry wants nothing more than to be a superhero and he gets his wish when he accidentally absorbs the Dai Gui's chi. Even when he gives up the chi at the end, he's still technically living his dream as he has his own comic book.
- Basement-Dweller: A friend of Larry's jokes that if he wants to be a superhero, the first step is moving out of his mother's basement.
- Hero with an F in Good: Larry when using Dai Gui's powers. Not so much in terms of morals, but rather his competence in using the powers. He stops prison inmates from escaping but leaves a hole in the street causing a police car pile up and when some punks try vandalizing the mayor's statue, he stops them but breaks the statue in the process.
