The containment unit for storing the demon chi cracks allowing the chi to escape. Jackie and Jade recover all but the Earth chi which gets absorbed by Jade's friend and fellow superhero nerd Larry.

* AscendedFanboy: Larry wants nothing more than to be a superhero and he gets his wish when he accidentally absorbs the Dai Gui's chi. Even when he gives up the chi at the end, he's still technically living his dream as he has his own comic book.
