After finding half a magic orb, a villain from the future steals it. Jade follows them into their time period and reunites with her future self and a schoolmate.
This episode provides examples of:
- Future Badass: Tohru becomes a fully official chi wizard.
- Future Loser: How Jimmy views his future self as the villain, Iso.
- Land, Sea, Sky: Not land, but the two halves of the Arcanum Orb are hidden in water and a mountain. The first is found in the present day underwater guarded by a Cthulhu-like monster. The mountain half is found in the future guarded by a griffin.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Subverted when Captain Black fires Jade for destroying a shopping mall in chasing Iso and wouldn't give either her or Jackie a chance to explain. Played straight when Future Jimmy attacks Section 13 as Captain Black negates her firing and has her back on paperwork.
- Time Travel Episode: Much of the episode takes place in the future.
