Junko Kanno has brought her sick dog, Candy, to a veterinary clinic and is waiting for the veterinarian, Yoshiyuki Honjō, to tell her the dog's condition. Honjō's assistant, Masami Sekimoto, calls her into the examination room because the dog is dying and she'd want to be with it in its last moments. Junko begs Honjō to save Candy because the dog is the only family she has left. The next day, Masami tells Honjō that another dog has been injured and is being brought to the clinic. Honjō tells her to handle the day's work herself as he is making a house call for a politician's dog. Junko shows up to thank them, but Masami says that Honjō has already left. Junko says that she can't mourn forever and that she was glad that Candy had a good doctor, which shocks Masami. This prompts Masami to tell Junko the truth of the matter, that Honjō ignored her dog in favor of playing a game of golf with another politician. Junko runs away in anger, but overhears two girls discussing the Hell Correspondence.
That night, Junko accesses the site and meets Ai, who gives her the black straw doll and lays out the terms of the contract. Ai warns Junko of the price with a vision of a Fire and Brimstone Hell and says the decision rests with her. Junko suggests that they leak Honjō's corruption to the media, but Masami says that he's too well-connected. Junko says that people brought their pets to the clinic because the trust Honjō to do his job. She and Masami go back to the clinic to try to find evidence against Honjō, who walks in on them. Honjō tells them to get out and that he'll sue them for slander if they report him. Junko unties the doll's thread.
Ai rides forth to claim Honjō's soul. Honjō is driving out to respond to a late-night call and says that he's going to charge his customer more for it. Hone Onna walks in front of his car, causing him to crash and break his leg. Ichimoku Ren and Wanyuudo roughly load him into an ambulance and he awakens in a cage. He tries to get the minions' attention, but they ignore him in favor of a conversation about baseball that mirrors his call from the politician from before. They glare at him when he finally gets their attention, but put him on the operating table. Wanyuudo says that can't find the injury and have to do exploratory surgery, to which Honjō responds that his leg is broken. Wanyuudo brings a surgical instrument up to Honjō's face and Hone Onna calls him out on using peoples pets as a paycheck. Honjō counters that people just use pets as status symbols and that he has done nothing wrong. Ai recites her incantation and banishes him to Hell. Honjō awakens on Ai's boat and is swarmed by injured animals. Ai ferries him through Hell's gate.
Back in the world of the living, Masami is moving to Fukuoka to find a new job and Junko comes to see her off. Junko tells her parents and her dog not to wait for her in Heaven and a candle with her name is lit.

- An Aesop: When your job causes people to entrust you with something they care about, it's more than just a job and you'd better not betray that trust no matter what it gets you.
- Fire and Brimstone Hell: Ai's warning about the consequences of the bargain is accompanied by a vision of this.
- Hate Sink: Honjō without a doubt. He works as a vet but he doesn’t even do the bare minimum for the animals in his care. He’s also rude to the pet owners, unless they’re famous, and even then he does not care about the animals who need help.
- Not only did his neglect kill Junko’s dog, but he insults her dead pet and her family to the girl’s face, mind you she’s a child.
- Ironic Hell: Having decried animals as not worth being helped like people, Honjō gets swarmed by pets on the boat to Hell that speak human language, begging him to heal their pain.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Subverted. Some people do use their pets as status symbols, but Honjō is wrong to say that that's true of everyone. Also, whether people use their pets as status symbols or not, Honjō is a veterinarian by profession, so at the very least, he is guilty of a severe professional violation (in addition to the ethical violation) by allowing a pet to die after promising the client (whose parents would presumably be paying him for his services) that he would care for the dog.
- Lethal Negligence: Honjō's laziness resulted in several of the pets he was supposed to take care of dying.
- Really Dead Montage: One of the dog right at the beginning of the episode.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Delivered by Hone Onna this time.Hone Onna: To you, the animals in your care might just be a means to a financial end, but to those who love them, pets are cherished members of the family.
- Strapped to an Operating Table: Happens to Honjō to show him what being a victim feels like.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: In a way. Junko would never have considered damning Honjō and herself to hell if Masami had not told her about what he really did to Candy.
