Ho Yay from Race and Benton's chemistry from the old show and runs with it, the trial framed not unlike two parents fighting over custody of their children. It's even implied that the villain was able to make the robot using measurements he took during a one-night stand. - Mundane Made Awesome: This episode emphasizes the fact that characters from The Dark Age of Animation are involved by having Birdman and Vulturo attack each other as they all make their case.
- Robotic Reveal: Harvey uncovers that Race Bannon wasn't actually trying to take the boys. It turns out that an old foe of the team had a mock-up of him made.
- The Unintelligible: As Vulturo makes Race's case to the jury, his monologue devolves into blubbering nonsense.
