Nutty, Sniffles and Lammy discover an old, broken down playground being demolished by Lumpy. Wackiness (and injuries) ensue as the kids hurt themselves on the dangerous equipment and Lumpy tries to lend a hand.
"All Work and No Play" contain examples of:
- Accidental Murder: Lumpy does this to Nutty and Sniffles.
- Bait-and-Switch: It appears that Lumpy is going to help Lammy remove the bar sliced in her head — then he rotates the end of the bar upside down so it looks like his antlers.
- Call-Back: The merry-go-round from the first episode in the series reappears in the beginning and is demolished.
- Comically Missing the Point: Once Lumpy notices that Lammy's head has been sliced by a metal bar, he "fixes" the problem by turning one side of the pipe the other way to make it look like his antlers.
- He does it again in the ending.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: All 3 of them.
- Lammy's head is sliced through by a metal bar from the monkey bars and gets cement shards impaled on her face.
- Nutty's body gets ripped apart by vibrations from a jackhammer while stuck to a cement block with metal bars sticking out of it. His remains are then crushed when the side of the wall he's stuck to falls over.
- Sniffles' lower torso is shredded and then filled down by a slide covered with holes. His head is then splattered by Lumpy's crane.
- Downer Ending: Lumpy unsuccessfully saves everyone else and ends up killing them by accident.
- Hope Spot: Sniffles is carried away to safety by Lumpy using a crane. Of course Lumpy gets distracted by Lammy and accidentally squashes the poor anteater's head.
- Idiot Ball: Sniffles, Nutty, and Lammy.
- Idiot Houdini: Lumpy, although he arguably has the least fault in any of the deaths.
- New Job as the Plot Demands: Lumpy is a construction worker this episode.
- Too Dumb to Live: The Tree Friends should have known better than to play at a construction site. Especially for The Smart Guy Sniffles.
- Unwanted Assistance: Lumpy tries to help Sniffles, Nutty, and Lammy once they get hurt, be he only ends up killing them.
- Your Head A-Splode: Sniffles' death.
