Freshly-Picked Fresh! Cure Peach is Born!! is the first episode of Fresh Pretty Cure!, as well as the 243rd episode of the Pretty Cure franchise overall.
The episode opens with the Sweets Kingdom's resident Elder sending four Pickruns away to find the Pretty Cures. Tarte and Chiffon are sent as well.
Meanwhile, Love Momozono is upset about a rejection that she supposedly got from a senior (it was actually a friend of hers that was rejected, and she was sad for her), but is cheered up by her friends Miki and Inori. Upon coming home that evening, she receives tickets from her mother for a show, which makes her particularly excited, as she is a huge fan of the dance group Trinity. But once she gets to the show, things quickly go downhill when a mysterious woman named Eas shows up and summons a Nakewemeke. Love is scared for Miyuki, the lead performer, and tries to save her as she is before the Pickrun suddenly appears and she transforms into Cure Peach for the first time. She has no idea what is going on, but defeats the Nakewemeke with her finishing move "Love Sunshine."
Eas leaves, and Miyuki invites Love to take dance lessons from her, to which she happily agrees.
This episode provides examples of:
- Curtains Match the Window: While Miki has blue hair and blue eyes, and Inori has bronze hair and bronze eyes, Love has light brown hair and magenta eyes. This makes her the second Cure to lack this trope, behind Kurumi/Milky Rose.
- Idol Singer: The Trinity group, though they're really Idol Dancers, not singers. Love is a huge fan of them.
- Monster of the Week: The first Nakewemeke appears in this episode. They appear in nearly every episode afterward.
- Ocular Gushers: Love cries rivers of tears in the episode's opening.
- Power Dyes Your Hair: Love's peanut-brown hair becomes bright yellow as Cure Peach. This makes her the 3rd pink Cure to not have pink hair, behind Cure Bloom and Shiny Luminous.
- Power Makes Your Hair Grow: Love's Girlish Pigtails grow to a truly ridiculous length as Cure Peach.
