Season 3, Episode 12:
Meltdown
Talyn becomes drawn to the surface of a star, endangering the crew. Stark tries to help a woman trapped between realms in orbit around the star.
Tropes present in this episode include:
- Abhorrent Admirer: Mu-Quillus to Sierjna
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Crichton copies Stark's "MY side, YOUR side, MY side, YOUR side!" while persuading him.
- Call-Back: Talyn is shown to have a Pilot's den, which Stark ends up using. Crais previously explained that, while designed to respond to voice commands, Talyn could still support a Pilot.
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: About to lose, Mu-Quillus offers to simply let the crew go in peace. When it's noted that other Leviathans would still be threatened by all this, Mu-Quillus asks why Crichton would care about such a thing. Crichton makes light of how the Villain of the Week just doesn't get it.
- Make-Out Kids: The mist leaking from Talyn causes everyone to act on their base instincts. For Crichton and Aeryn this means they can barely keep their hands off each other.
- Psychopomp: Stark attempts to use his abilities to help Sierjna cross over but Mu-Quillus' presence means she can't move on. Once he's defeated Stark is able to send Sierjna on to the next life.
- Wetware CPU: Stark locates Talyn's partially-formed Pilot's den and bonds with the warship.
