Lift Life is an episode of Everyday Craziness in Pontypandy.
The Pontypandy Fire Service is called out to Newtown to rescue a labouring woman from a stuck elevator.
Tropes:
- Born in an Elevator: The baby is born during the short amount of time that the fire service take to un-stick the elevator and free Mrs. Adelstrop.
- Faint in Shock: Elvis enters the scene right after the baby is born, and the shock of seeing the messy scene makes him faint.
- Instant Birth: Just Add Labor!: Mrs. Adelstrop starts labour and gives birth to her baby in the span of about twenty minutes.
- "Near and Dear" Baby Naming: The baby is named for the four firefighters who rescued her and her mother; Elsa Penrose, after Elvis, Sam, Penny, and Briar (as in Briar Rose).
- Pink Means Feminine: Elsa is properly introduced wearing a pink onesie.
- Shout-Out: Briar mentions that they keep on track during CPR by thinking of the Death Star March.
