• Inferiority Superiority Complex: Julius tries desperately to make the best Thanksgiving dinner possible with food he wouldn't even dream of buying otherwise just to impress his more successful brother Louis.
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Julius buys a bunch of name brand food in order to impress his successful brother. He even says that he specifically bought all of it so that nobody thinks that they can't afford it, which is usually what Rochelle says. Rochelle points out how expensive it all is, even pointing out the exact price, which is usually what he does.
• Shout-Out: All of the name brand food that Julius buys are named after films and entertainers.
