Euden and Jupiter go to a city after getting a distress letter. Upon arrival, Euden is captured while Jupiter overhears about a court and decides to try and help out as a defense attorney.
This event contains examples of:
- Amoral Attorney: The prosecutor will frame someone for crimes if they tick him off even slightly.
- Badass in Distress: Euden is captured by imperial soldiers at the beginning of the event.
- I Never Said It Was Poison: When Jupiter mentions the testimony of the shopkeeper who sold the murder weapon, Gassbag says the testimony of one old man means nothing. The thing is... Jupiter didn't specify that the shopkeeper was an old man.
- Kangaroo Court: The trials at Littleton are handled by the prosecutor who is the town's mayor, and he has imperial soldiers to make sure the cases go his way.
- "What's Inside?" Plot: Guaron's goal was to obtain a legendary treasure sealed inside a box, hoping it'll help him further his goals. In the end, the treasure was a sphere of mana that can grant power...but it only works on Jupiter, who proceeds to wreck Guaron and the Imperial flunkies.
