Happy's crew, the Venus, calls for an SOS from a hostile ice planet, and the Pluto arrives to issue a rescue operation. Unfortunately, this leads to a fight between Happy and Garbage that is harsher than the weather, which finally brings up one important question:
How exactly did these two become bitter enemies?
Tropes:
- Affectionate Nickname: Happy used to call Garbage "Garb"
- Behavioral Conditioning: Happy was raised this way by his owner, who conditioned him using a bell. He and Pepper even lampshade this as the Pavlov's Dog Theory.
- Both Sides Have a Point: Either Played Straight or Inverted depending on how you look at it. When Happy and Garbage finish their story, the rest of the Pluto crew agree that their falling out was the result of both Garbage and Happy putting their own ambitions before their friendship.
- Human Popsicle: Or Dog Popsicle in this case. Happy's crew except for Happy himself where frozen in a block of ice by the planet's natives.
- Jerkass: One of the captains in the flashback rudely turns Garbage away when he tries to join Happy for lunch
- I Shall Taunt You: Garbage pulls no punches in taunting Happy during the call between him and the crew.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Happy becomes way nicer (if still snarky) towards Garbage after they clear things up.
- Skewed Priorities: Downplayed. The Pluto crew continues to search and rescue Happy's, but also become too invested in Garbage and Happy's story to just ignore it.
