Emily's mother shows up and begs the FBI to save her friend's husband, Mr. Chernus, who's been kidnapped by Russian mobsters demanding a ransom. The daughter, Natalya, looks more suspicious the longer it goes on.

- Arbitrarily Large Bank Account: The obochek, the pooled money the Russian mobsters share.
- "Ass" in Ambassador: Emily's mother is kind of a jerk.

- Finger in the Mail: The kidnappers send the victim's ring finger with his wedding ring on to prove that they have him. Later they send an ear.
