Recap / Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron, Chapter 32, "I Order You, Nonette Enneagram"

Go To

In an effort to regain Cornelia and Nunnally, Nonette challenges Zero to a duel. But Schneizel has other plans in mind...

  • Let's Fight Like Gentlemen: A variation, but Nonette challenges Lelouch to a one-on-one duel where should she win, Suzaku, Cornelia, Nunnally, and Prince Zephyr are to be released. After pointedly telling her that Zephyr is not with him (as Rai still isn't sure who he is), Lelouch agrees with the caveat that, should he win, Nonette will become his prisoner, but if Nonette wins, she will first ask Nunnally whether the little princess wants to return to Britannia. Ultimately, the duel is rendered moot when Schneizel uses a Gefjun Disturber modified with research obtained from a forgotten B.L.I.P. sensor to shut down Zen and the Gawain so that Britannia can take out Zero via missile and Hadron Barrage.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Nonette had no idea that the Gawain had a device onboard it that could disable the Black Lion, in part because it would also disable the Gawain - Schneizel needed a way to draw Zero in.
  • Not Quite Dead: The opening of the chapter reveals that Mao is still alive, but only barely, and in Haggar's possession. With Mao no longer having any other possible uses for her, Haggar decides to use him for a purpose that will take some time (the implication being he will be converted into a Robeast).
  • Not So Stoic: Cornelia is reduced to tears when she finally sees Nunnally again at the beginning of the chapter.
  • Tricked to Death: Somewhat. Nonette was deliberately not informed that the Gawain had been modified to disable both the Black Lion and itself because Schneizel wanted to use the duel as a chance to capture the Black Lion, even if it meant sacrificing Nonette.
