Secret preparations accelerate for the opening of Jeremy's restaurant...
— Synopsis
Clarkson, Kaleb and Lisa are shown, working under the cover of night to lay pipes to the restaurant. A flashback is shown of the afternoon that day, where Clarkson, Gerald and Kaleb are discussing about plans to build that restaurant, trying to find ways to do the work to open the restaurant while at the same time not getting spotted by the locals or councilors. Opining they had no other choice due to the council's constant rejections of the farm's proposals, Clarkson begins to believe that the council was now only out to get him and thwart any of his endeavors.

Clarkson's theory is proven correct as he sees a long stretch of no parking signs installed by the council on the road shoulders leading up to the farm, presumably to alleviate the congestion; seeing this, he decides to contact Charlie. Seeing the antics of the council, a furious Charlie has a word with Clarkson about the situation, knowing that this was only step one of their plan for total action against the site. Clarkson notes that while they were allowed to convert the unused barn into a restaurant, they had to inform the council about this conversion, which would give them another opportunity to try and thwart their endeavors. Clarkson and Charlie agree that the best tactic to build the restaurant was speed.

Charlie outlines the plan as such: Charlie would inform the council of the farm's plan to convert the unused barn into a restaurant, and after this email was sent, the restaurant had to be built and fitted as fast as possible and having it serve food within two days, hoping that by the time the email reaches the council's leadership, the restaurant is up and running and serving food before the council would inevitably object to their plans. With the plan in motion, Clarkson sits down with Alan to discuss the layout of the restaurant. After informing Alan that building, plumbing and fitting the kitchen in the restaurant had to be done in two days, Clarkson explains his rationale to an amused Alan. Clarkson then informs Alan about the next steps: do nothing at the barn site for the next ten days, and as soon as Charlie sends the email, it was all systems go.

Clarkson then explains that the ten-day gap was required for Alan to round up a workforce and the required materials for this project, and for Clarkson to clear some "pressing farm jobs" such as helping Viktor the Ukrainian beekeeper build some new beehives; as he does that, Clarkson asks Viktor out of concern how his family was doing back home thanks to the happenings in the country. After helping out Viktor, Clarkson participates in an annual inspection to renew his Red Tractor Accreditation, which despite a number of hiccups goes successfully.

Clarkson is then contacted by an excited Kaleb, who offers to show something to him on his phone. Going into a flashback, Clarkson recounts that every time someone took their phone out he felt nervous, as they were all on filming duty with Pepper and Maestro the bull, hoping that Maestro would've mounted Pepper and impregnated her; video footage shows this to not be the case. Cutting back to the present, Kaleb shows Clarkson video evidence of Maestro mounting Pepper, alleviating his fears.

Ten days later, the plan would swing into action; that evening, Charlie would send an email informing the council of the farm's plans, and that building of the restaurant would begin the next day. By then, Alan had assembled all his materials, but grumbles about the frantic timetable, stating that they need a magic wand. Clarkson and Alan agree to have an early kickoff to prepare some of the materials early; at 5:30 pm, Charlie is in his office, planning the final email informing the council of his plans and sends it, to which Clarkson is aware.

The next day, at 6:00 am, Clarkson, Alan and his team begin work on the restaurant; Clarkson loads up the pallets into his trailer to take to Alan to make the floor of the restaurant but is caught in the way of a passing bus. Crushing some of the cones the council put down, Clarkson sneers at the council as he passes by the bus, apologizing to the bus driver. Arriving at the site, Clarkson unloads the pallets and tries to drive off, but manages to mess up, hitting an old metal fence and wrapping the fencing around the trailer's brakes. As Alan and his crew attempt to get the tractor unstuck, Kaleb suggests they get back to work building the restaurant while Kaleb and Clarkson get the tractor unstuck.

Clarkson, now "banned" from all large equipment, causes work to resume at a rapid pace, but is briefly interrupted by Charlie's arrival and his request of the health and safety policies. By the end of the day however, Clarkson noted that the building was way behind schedule, although apparently nobody had seemed to notice what Clarkson and the gang were up to. Alan and his team resume building of the restaurant the next day, with Clarkson absent as he had to attend to various happenings on the farm.

First, Clarkson goes to see the old henhouses, there being a problem with the chickens there; he arrives to find none, all of them having been killed. Lisa then informs him that the water pressure at the header tank feeding the prep kitchen was very low, with Clarkson calling some plumbers for help and requesting for repairs as soon as possible. Once that was done, Clarkson gets into his Range Rover and drives to the restaurant site, but is blocked by a line of cars; Clarkson asks each of them what they were up to and drives off to the site.

It is here that Clarkson discovers a possible reason as to why the water pressure was so low, as someone had left a sprinkler turned on and wet the floorboards of the restaurant as a result, forcing the construction crew to dry it out before anything could be put onto it. Determined to catch up, everyone chips in to help; Clarkson prepares a Twitter post to inform of the opening of the restaurant and later helps to train the front of house staff in one of his barns with Pip.

In a shocking turn of events, Alan's team had completed their work by 6:00 pm, so Pip and her team could begin work preparing the kitchen. Kaleb then arrives with the tables and chairs for the restaurant. Shortly after, a "strange gathering" appears through the brush, walking towards the restaurant; Kaleb initially thinks the group was a "council hit squad", but is proven wrong, with the gathering actually being the Cotswold Male Voice Choir, which Clarkson had arranged. When the choir arrives at the build site, they sing an alternate version of Jerusalem to the workers as "motivation". By the song's end, a neon sign is lit up, signaling the building's completion to the cheers of the team.

The day of the restaurant's opening finally arrives, and Clarkson was hoping that nothing else would go wrong. When Clarkson does arrive at the restaurant, he notices there is still work to be done to make the restaurant look presentable and orders work to clean up the restaurant. By 11:30 am, a crowd has begun to gather at the farm shop, while Clarkson and the rest are still busy cleaning up the restaurant and making it look presentable. Here, guests are being attended to by a front of house manager and engage in conversation with Gerald. Charlie arrives shortly after and assists with preparations for the big day; at this point, nothing has been cooked. Clarkson is shortly after informed by a production crew member that their pasta cooker has malfunctioned and they had called an electrician to fix the issue.

Clarkson informs Kaleb about the issue, who then informs the guests about the delay. Gerald receives a call and speaks to Clarkson as well. With all hands on deck and nothing going as planned, Clarkson's temper begins to flare; realizing that this would not be a good look for the restaurant or him, Clarkson leaves to calm down, leaving the rest to Charlie and the others. Kaleb, back at the other side of the farm, gives guests water to drink. Charlie is informed by the electrician that the pasta cooker itself has a problem and they can do nothing more, while the chefs in the kitchen frantically prepare the food. Kaleb eventually runs out of patience and decides to take the first round of passengers to the restaurant.

By this point, Pip's team was beginning to prepare their dishes. Clarkson, having calmed down, returns to the restaurant to welcome the guests. Clarkson spots Kaleb accepting tips from the riders and firmly tells him to stop; by now, food was being served, with Clarkson and Charlie entertaining guests. The first guests finish their food, giving positive feedback; it is around this time when someone needs to use the washrooms, which were located at the farm shop, 250 meters away. Clarkson devises a plan to help with this issue, using an ATV to quickly ferry customers to the toilet; Charlie interrupts, insisting that the passenger wear a full safety suit before riding off.

Apart from the issue regarding the washrooms, Clarkson notes that the guests seemed to be enjoying the food and their time here, with a steady stream of guests coming and going throughout the afternoon. Some of Clarkson's associates also pop by to see the restaurant, such as NFU representative Georgia and Tim and Katy the cow farmers with their daughter. As afternoon became evening, Clarkson cannot believe that he and his associates managed to open a restaurant despite "the relentless barrage of opposition"; a montage of events showing the opposition is then played to hammer home this point. With no council officials in sight, Clarkson and Charlie decide to celebrate with beer and reminisce about past events.

Now with a functioning restaurant, Clarkson invites Kaleb, Charlie, Lisa, Gerald and Alan for a "victory lunch". Clarkson exchanges his heartfelt thanks with the others and all have a toast; Clarkson then jokes to Alan that he "let the building trade down", having built the restaurant in two days. That was not all to celebrate about however, as it was also the end of another farming year. The harvest was imminent, but as it was not ready until another week, Clarkson decides to spring his surprise on Kaleb.

Knowing that it was Kaleb's birthday a few weeks back, Clarkson takes Kaleb on a helicopter ride as a present, on an AgustaWestland AW109S Grand helicopter used in No Time to Die. Gerald arrives shortly after and has a quick conversation with Clarkson, who asks him if he wanted a ride as well. Assuming Gerald's indecipherable speech meant "no", Clarkson helps strap Kaleb into the helicopter. Kaleb feels queasy even before the helicopter takes off, but gets over his fear and begins commenting on the mistakes other farmers made while in it. Recalling a mistake Kaleb made on the farm, Clarkson shows off his "reminder" to Kaleb's mistake, now having fully grown: "KALEB'S CRACK" written using the wildflowers Clarkson had planted.

Despite Clarkson wanting to move straight into harvesting after this celebration, the team still had one more task to do: find out if Pepper had been impregnated. Having been five weeks since Maestro mounted Pepper, Clarkson contacts Dilwyn to do a check on Pepper. To Clarkson's dismay, Pepper is not in calf; Dilwyn informs Clarkson that not only is Pepper not in calf, but is also fat, in that she is eating the same amount of food as the other calves but is not producing anything. Kaleb suggests contacting the slaughterhouse, while Clarkson is distressed, knowing that is his favorite cow; Kaleb tells Clarkson "to choose another one".

Knowing that the next cow to be sent for slaughter was due to move next week, Kaleb and Lisa give Clarkson a reality check, saying that Pepper would likely be the next cow to move after their second cow, given its traits. Kaleb then jokes that Clarkson "might choose himself" for slaughter in a minute; Charlie walks by, where Clarkson breaks the bad news to him. Charlie too gives Clarkson a reality check, saying that the likelihood of Pepper getting pregnant was slim. At the last minute though, Clarkson comes up with an idea and decides to adopt Pepper.
