Recap / Children Of Time S 1 M 1 Homecoming

Go To

A prequel of sorts to almost the entire season, chronologically set between episodes 1 and 2. "Homecoming" is labeled as a minisode because it is the first smaller episode to not involve the TARDIS at all. It also acts as a prequel to the Sherlock Holmes story "The Adventure of the Empty House," albeit as an Alternate Universe prequel in which Professor Moriarty is still alive and sets in motion the events of said story.

This Minisode Provides Examples of:

  • The Chessmaster: Good gosh. Moriarty engineers the events of "The Empty House" so that Moran can disappear quietly and Holmes will not suspect a thing, allowing the setup for the finale.
  • Villainous Friendship: Between the Professor and the Colonel.
  • When It All Began: Alongside "Smith and Holmes," this story is the most important in the series as the events that set the season arc in motion.
