Glad I Thought of It: Varney is quick to take credit for Ratko's plan to find the underground hideout of the royal family, stating that it became his plan the moment he gave Ratko his blessing to execute it. Ratko does not agree, leading to a fierce argument between the two.
Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: After the Bishop led to Targoviste's destruction, Zamfir had all of their priests killed. On-top of causing more needless death, the lack of any holy men limits their defenses against unholy things like vampires and night creatures. She even had all of their reserves of holy water poured into protecting the main underground chamber, instead of providing it to the people living above ground. Atop of all this, she also had all the weapons concealed underground, instead of providing people of Targoviste with means of defending themselves from the night creatures. Sypha and Trevor are rightfully horrified by her actions.
