This MMBC provides examples of:
- Color Motif: Red and purple are the colors of the day here. Subtropes:
- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: Frauke, Nightshade, Rikka, Seung
- Lady in Red: Fatin
- Purple Is Powerful: Seung, Betsy
- Red Is Violent: Caesar. Scarlet Rancune to a certain extent too.
- Red Oni Purple Oni
- Death Equals Redemption: for Caesar - his final act before taking his own life was to shoot the two who manipulated him into the position.
- Elective Mute: Angelina Camisade herself.
- Genre Savvy: Fatin District, in spades. Leads to Death by Genre Savviness, paving the way for the rise of the actually licensed analyst of crime...
- Hardboiled Detective: ...Nightshade Tarantula.
- Ship Tease: Between Nightshade and Lady Poisonfruit - put on ice, however, when Lady was frozen to death. Nightshade got luckier elsewhere.
- Throw It In!: Originally only Scarlet was intended to be the evil host pulling the strings; but upon viewer confession that they thought Viola would be the evil reveal, the author tweaked it so that both sisters/hosts were in on the plan.
