Nixyce VII has been invaded by the Daleks. Liv Chenka is working with the Daleks to treat people. The Doctor arrives and meets Liv Chenka, who has been captured by La Resistance and their leader Carna "The Hawk". The Dalek Time Controller is also on this world.

Tropes:

• Les Collaborateurs: The title character Liv Chenka, though well-intentioned as she is trying to treat people. The Daleks allow this as she brings hope.
• Dressing as the Enemy: Several people, including the Doctor, dress as Robomen.
• Enemy Mine: The reason the Doctor is trying to work with the Daleks, as another force is approaching Nixyce VII which he says is even worse.
• Heroic Sacrifice: The resistance intend to set off the bombs while they are in the mines so they can stop the Daleks.
• The Needs of the Many: Liv Chenka says the Doctor shouldn't give the Dalek Time Controller the code to stop bombs in the mines which will destroy the Dalek weapons despite the millions of people inside, as if they don't the Daleks will enslave billions more.
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The Doctor occasionally drops hints that he needs the Daleks.
• Out-of-Character Moment: Liv says it is uncharacteristic for the Daleks to let her use a hospital. Justified, in that the Time Controller thinks the slaves will work better if they have hope.
• Rebel Leader: The Hawk, Kavel.
• Red Baron: The rebel leader is known as the Hawk.

• The Revolution Will Not Be Civilised: The resistance movement shows itself to be very brutal.
• Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: The Dalek Time Controller can remember the events of Dark Eyes despite exterminating Straxus thus erasing Kotris and undoing many of these events as it apparently exists outside time.
• Small Steps Hero: When Liv tells the Doctor millions dying will be better then the Daleks oppressing billions more he says it's not a numbers game. He gives the code.
