Jon Taffer comes to a bar on Route 17 where an instance occurs that Jon still uses as a point of reference for bad things to come.

They're treated a lot more sympathetically than most, as they try to quit cold turkey, and Jon gives them a counselor to seek treatment. They even experience withdrawal symptoms during the stress test.
- The Determinator: Despite suffering from severe withdrawal symptoms during the Stress Test, Donna refused to take a drink with her friends. Seeing this impresses Jon.

- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: A horse literally walks into a bar in this episode.
- From Bad to Worse: Jon is appalled with the owner's irresponsibility, and then one brings his horse into the bar creating a scene.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Yum Yum wasn't the only problem, but she was the only one who didn't care to improve, even showing up late for training and then complaining she didn't know what to do. Guess who is without a job by the end of the episode.
- Once Done, Never Forgotten: Jon Taffer often uses one owner piloting his horse into a bar when he needs to compare when a bar really screwed up.
- Rage Quit: Yum Yum quits in the middle of the Stress Test after struggling with the new drinks. Though it's not hard to see why, as she blew off the training and only came in before the Stress Test began.
- Wacky Parent, Serious Child: Both of the owners are irresponsible drunks while their daughter is responsible enough to try and maintain standards, much to her frustration. Thankfully, both of the owners got their act together by the end of the episode and became as responsible as their daughter.
- What Did I Do Last Night?: Donna admitted that she was so drunk, she did not remember meeting Jon the previous night.
